3D Mission Statement

The 3D organization strives for excellence. We serve communities and industries by self-performing complex engineering and construction projects. In a teamwork environment, we operate in a fair, cost effective and professional manner, while caring for our employees and their families.

For decades, we have been building Water Treatment Facilities while self-performing the majority of the work scopes of the projects. Our self-performance capability in various disciplines enhances our ability to manage and control project costs, schedule and construction quality.

Water Treatment Facilities construction and rehabilitation is one of our core services at 3D. One factor that illustrates project size is the contract price. It is equally important to consider one’s experience in dealing with large volume flows, large basin construction, phasing of construction, complex electrical, instrumentation and process equipment systems and architecturally complex buildings.

These Water Treatment Facilities’ construction required pipelines and pumping systems with pressures as highs as 400 psi, storage tanks with 20 million gallons of capacity, in-ground water basins larger than the size of football fields. Many of the administrative buildings at these plants were over 10,000 square feet of floor space. Chemical facilities at these plants exceeded 10,000 square feet under roof. Pumps with over 2000 horsepower drive the flows in some of these Facilities. At least one of the plants is designed with instrumentation and controls to allow unmanned operation.

3D’s people have designed, installed and operated 24/7 pump-around systems with flow capacities as large as 30 million gallons per day with redundancy. Some of these pump-around systems were operated for months. On one of the projects 3D’s people installed a 48-inch diameter pipeline on a 500 feet high rock cliff using hoisting by a 1,000 horsepower helicopter to place the pipe on cast-in-place concrete pipe supports carved into the rock cliff.
